Today on the blog I am sharing the wedding of Kate and Scott that took place on a horse farm in West Knoxville in mid-September. There are so many stunning photos of this day by Kelly V Photography, I cannot possible choose individuals to feature, so it's going to be all photo collages all the time for this post! Kate and Scott's day was so lovely. The love shared between these two, their families, and friends who traveled from far and wide made this wedding so much fun! It was a joyful celebration of these two lovely people.
Like many couples, Kate and Scott's original wedding plans were derailed due to the many challenges that 2020 has posed. Kate had originally hoped to marry Scott in her hometown in Illinois. But, due to restrictions on gatherings plans had to change. So, they decided to shift gears and get married in the groom's hometown of Knoxville. Through a very generous and loving family connection, a private horse farm was offered to host the beautiful event and we were on our way!
So many things about this wedding were extraordinary thanks to many hours spent thoughtfully planning this day. Kate, her mother, Mary, and sister Dori worked with me to curate a vendor team who provided amazing service. We had wonderful rentals and set-up support, food, music, florals, bar service, valet and transportation services, and the property owners and venue supervisors went above and beyond to make this event an incredible success. It was also my pleasure to get to know the Rogers family and to see how dearly they love and support one another. That love is what resonated so clearly through the whole event and was felt by every guest in attendance.
Once Kate and Scott's vows to one another were said, it was time for a party! Our cocktail hour and reception took place under our stunning tent with rentals from All Occasions Party Rentals. Kate chose a lovely palette of dusty blue, navy, and gold as the backdrop for her stunning vibrant florals in magenta, pink orange, peach, and ivory from Echelon Florist. Our gorgeous custom signage was made by my dear friend Erin of Scruffy City Lettering and Signs and it coordinated perfectly into our decor scheme and beautifully set off our escort cards by Brittany Ivey Design. Our delicious tiered cake was made by Dodie of The Bee's Knees Bakery. Dodie also hand-crafted atom bomb cocktails to mimic those that Kate and Scott enjoyed on their first dates at Texas Christian University.
Our signature cocktail, The Bee's Knees, was crafted and served by our bar provided Single Barrel Events. Our caterer was Holly's Gourmet Market and they created gorgeous grazing boards and passed hors d'oeuvres for cocktail hour and a fabulous plated meal.
When the meal concluded, Patrick of Party Boys DJ kept the dance floor full all evening (this family told me they would dance and they weren't joking)! Seriously, these folks danced! It was a fabulous evening full of unforgettable moments! Thank you so much, Kate, Scott, and the Rogers and Eggleston families for allowing me to share in this beautiful day! I expect to see these families sharing in many more joyful moments to come!
