#RealWeddingWednesday Alexis and Kyle's Nautical Wedding

It's time for another #realweddingwednesday! Alexis and Kyle's nautical themed wedding at River View Family Farm was a long time in the making. Like many couples who were engaged in 2019, they started planning right away only to have their plans change completely. It wasn't easy on them, but their desire to be married surrounded by the people that they love was their greatest motivation and it kept them going even on the tough days.

Alexis and Kyle handled all of the adjustments beautifully and, in the end, our new location was even better than our original choice! River View Family Farm was the perfect location to host this beautiful celebration and the owners and staff could not have been kinder to my clients who had to move their wedding only 30 days out!

Our vendor team was also fantastic! They rolled with all of the changes and were so flexible. I especially want to thank Anderson Rentals for all of their help in scouting new locations. Angie and the team at Anderson are so kind and we appreciated their support so much. Clint James captured the day so well and I am delighted to share just a few of their photos here.

When the the beautiful August day arrived, I was so thrilled to see these two people married. Alexis and Kyle are two people that I consider my friends as well as my clients, so seeing them so happy was the best. Alexis and Kyle chose to highlight their love of the water as they both grew up spending as much time as possible on the lake and you can still find them out on a boat on Norris Lake pretty much every weekend (doing that foil surfing thing that blows my mind). The color palate was navy and white and included nautical stripes, accents of dusty blue, pale pink, and muted greens. This style set against the elevated rustic style of River View Family Farm made for a gorgeous combination!

Their wedding party included their closest family and friends and their fur baby, Cooper. Dog model that he is, Cooper stole the show during the first look.

Kyle and Alexis were married under an arbor from Anderson Rental, draped and decorated with our lovely florals from Echelon Florist. Matt and his team at Echelon create the most stunning floral designs and as usual, they nailed it. They had a water view in the background of their whole celebration, which was very important to them. We even had a few visitors from the neighboring pasture during pre-ceremony photograohy, including Jack the Donkey.

Once the ceremony concluded and everyone had had a good cry, it was time to party! Amazing Graze put together stunning grazing boards for each table and the bar provided by Water Into Wine was opened! Dinner was served by Sweet P's Barbeque (because the groom needed some brisket) and DJ Stan duh Man got everyone dancing! Oreo cupcakes, Kyle's choice, and several other flavors of yummy mini cupcakes were created by Dodie of Bees Knees Bakery.

I'm a sucker for anything handmade and my good friend Erin created their perfectly nautical seating chart. Other signs were made with love by the matron of honor, Shelby.

It was such a fun evening and the joy and love that Alexis and Kyle felt overflowed to everyone in attendance. And despite all odds, these two were able to jet off for their St. Lucia honeymoon that no one, particulary the bride and groom, thought would happen after all of the travel bans, resort closures, and flight changes. But, just like everything else for this special couple, the pieces fell into place and it all worked out (yesss!!).

This couple will always be special to me. They were so easy to work with and were one of the most organized couples I've ever seen. When adversity in the planning process came their way, they worked together and supported each other through the stress. It was my pleasure and my honor to help them plan this lovely wedding day and to gain their friendship in the process. Congratulations Alexis and Kyle! Here's to a lifetime of happiness together!
